Chauki Dhaulas Bike Trail is a very scenic & insightful bike tour in the beautiful Pachhwadun region of Dehradun. This bike tour starts from Kolhupani, a small village near Prem Nagar region of Dehradun, which is easily accessible by road from Dehradun & Delhi. Start your bike trip from Kolhupani on a small village road, cross a moderate bridge on a seasonal river & paddle 2 km further to reach village Kotra Santaur. From here the path turns a lot steeper for about 750 m, till you reach the village Phulsani. As you leave this village, the road trail zig zags through the dense forests which compel you to stop & feel the fresh air and fragrance of the jungle. Cross this 2.5 km stretch of forest to reach village Aamwala ( named so because there many “Aam” or Mango trees here). From here the road trail is a continuous incline gradient but of a very easy level. Paddle your mountain bike for 6 km more, cross village Dhaulas to reach a T-point at Birori village, from where the road to east goes to village Badshahi Bagh & the road to west goes to village Chauki. It is recommended that one should first visit village Badshahi Bagh and then heads towards the destination village Chauki. You also have an option to park your bikes here & hike down to river Nun for a bath. Have a nice meal break at Chauki & paddle your bike back to Kolhupani !
